Sabre Club
On June 7, 2012, Marian University
and its athletic department initiated the launch of the
long-awaited Sabre Club, which will serve as the primary
fundraising arm for the entire Athletic Department. Currently,
Marian sponsors 15 NCAA Division III varsity programs.
“We are thrilled to finally realize this opportunity,”
Marian Director of Athletics Jason Murphy said. “The Sabre Club will
benefit our department in many ways, most importantly, by providing
for our student-athletes to give them the best experience possible.
This past year has seen many wonderful changes that have enhanced
the university and athletics department already. The Sabre Club is
another example of what we are trying to accomplish moving
forward.
Resources raised through the Sabre Club will help Marian
University continue to provide a top-notch experience for current
and future student-athletes. Team competition trips, new team
apparel, and enhanced training facilities are three examples of how
contributions will improve the Sabre student-athlete
experience.
Alumni, community members, and friends of Sabre Athletics are all
encouraged to join the club. By joining the Sabre Club, you will
receive continuous updates on Sabre Athletics and special
invitations to select events throughout the year. More importantly,
your membership and contributions to the Sabre Club will enhance
the college student-athlete experience for hundreds of young adults
annually.
