Sabres win big vs. Lakeland

(Fond du Lac, WI) - The Sabres moved to 7-3 on the season and 5-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference on Friday as they defeated Lakeland College 8-1. The victory should provide some momentum for the weekend as they play at MSOE on Saturday and then play at Carroll University and Mount Mary College on Sunday.

Jamie Raquet (Kiel, WI), Rebecca Heczko (Iron Mountain, MI), Emily Bates (Fond du Lac, WI), Reilly Connaher (Fond du Lac, WI), and Melanie Seitz (Panama City, Panama) all won their singles matches in two sets.

At #1 doubles, Michelle Zwicky (Fond du Lac, WI) and Sarah Brooker (Appleton, WI) teamed up for a 9-8 (3-0) victory. Heczko and Connaher were 8-1 winners at #2 doubles, while Bates and Seitz came away with an 8-0 victory at #3 doubles.
