Sabres can't keep up with Lakeland

(Fond du Lac, WI) - Lakeland College defeated Marian University 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-19) on Tuesday night to maintain pace in the Northern Athletics Conference. With the victory, the Muskies moved to 16-10 overall and 8-2 in the Northern Athletics Conference. The Muskies are just one game back in the loss column to Benedictine University for the top spot. Marian fell to 5-19 overall and 3-6 in the NAC.
The Muskies hit .355 in the contest, compared to Marian's .167. They were led by Kim Linger's 11 kills. Kristine Raeder had an impressive night passing as she recorded 32 assists. Brittanie Paulus added 12 digs.
Marian was led by Kelsey Westerveld's (Holmen, WI) 7 kills. Michielah Navis (Waupun, WI) had 12 assists and 12 digs.
Marian is back in action again on Friday, as they will host Benedictine University.
