Foresters get the sweep of Marian

(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University played well on Saturday, but fell 3-0 to NCHA-leader, Lake Forest College, at the Blue Line Family Ice Center. The Foresters once again had a big advantage in shots as they outshot the Sabres 52-14.
The Foresters used their first period to gain momentum in the contest. They tallied two goals in the period. Sam Herron scored at the 10:14 mark and Lynn Switaj scored at the 12:53 mark.
In the second, Denise Perez scored a power play goal with just :24 remaining to give the Foresters some extra cushion.
Kaytlin Ruzicka (Wauconda, IL) played well as she stopped 49 shots in the contest.
Marian is now 2-12 overall and 1-6 in the NCHA.
