Sabres fall at Maranatha

(Watertown, WI) - Marian University fell 49-40 on Tuesday evening at Maranatha Baptist Bible College. The Sabres turned the ball over 28 times and shot just 15-for-58 (26%) from the field in the loss.

Marian (4-12, 2-9 NAC) opened up the game on a 5-0 run and led late in the first half, but trailed 25-23 at the break.

In the second, the Sabres never led and trailed 33-32 with 9:33 to play, but could get no closer. Maranatha's largest lead in the half was eleven points.

Jordan Dykstra (Cedar Grove, WI) led the Sabres in scoring with 11 points. Emily Reiter (Hilbert, WI) had a solid evening as she scored 10 points and pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds. She also had a game-high 6 steals.

Alexis Becker (North Fond du Lac, WI) chipped in with 6 assists and 4 steals, while Brooke Haen (Oakfield, WI) had 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Autumn Peotter led the Crusaders with 14 points.

The Crusaders held a 50-34 advantage on the boards.
