(Mequon, WI) - The sixth-seeded Sabres upset #3-seed, Concordia University-Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon 2-1 to advance in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. Marian's Mariel Bartolutti (Fond du Lac, WI) scored the game-winner with just 15:39 left to help the Sabres survive. Marian will now play at #1-seeded, Aurora University on Tuesday at 1:00 PM.

Danielle Grable (Neenah, WI) put Marian ahead 1-0 in the 13th minute as she found the back of the net. The Falcons answered back seven minutes later as Emily Waldorf  scored.

Concordia out-shot the Sabres 9-3 in the first half, but Tiffany Erdman (Wausau, WI) was up to the task, as she stopped three shots.

In the second, Bartolutti put the game-winner in, unassisted.

Jordan Dykstra (Cedar Grove, WI) stopped four shots for the Sabres in the second half. 

The win marked the first victory for the Sabres in the postseason since the formation of the Northern Athletics Conference.
