Marian's season comes to an end in NAC semis

(Aurora, IL) - Aurora's Haley Pschirrer recorded a hat-trick on Tuesday to help Aurora University defeat Marian University 4-0 in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament semifinals. Pschirrer scored twice in the first period and added a goal early in the third to help seal the victory. Aurora will now face Dominican in the NAC Championship on Saturday afternoon. The Sabres finished the season 11-7-1 overall, while Aurora is now 15-5 overall.

Pschirrer scored just 1:53 into the game off an assist from Samantha Dykema. She then scored again in the 38th minute off an assist from Kaitlyn Crohan.

The Spartans out-shot the Sabres 10-1 in the first period.

In the second, the Spartans scored twice in the 53rd minute to put the game away. Pschirrer socred at the 53:04 mark, while Amanda Hertz scored at the 53:16 mark off an assist from Dykema.

Liz Wong recorded three saves for the Spartans, who out-shot Marian 15-4 in the contest.
