(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University tied the school record for victories in a season on Saturday as they defeated Northland College 8-2. The Sabres are now 18-6 overall and 17-2 in the MCHA. 

Marian lit the lamp four times in the first period to grab control of the contest. Both teams scored a pair of goals in the second, with Marian scoring another two goals in the third. 

Four Sabres had standout performances in this one. Brendan Roberts (Calgary, AB) recorded a hat-trick as he scored in each period. Brendan Hull (Calgary, AB) finished the game with four assists, while defenseman Nick Henkemeyer (Prior Lake, MN) recorded three helpers. Dakota Dubetz (Chestermore, AB) finished the contest with three points (2G/1A). 

The Sabres outshot the Lumberjacks 67-19 in the contest and were 3-for-9 on the power play. 

Cullen Caldwell (Calgary, AB) picked up the victory in goal as he recorded 17 saves. 

These two teams will be back at it at 4:00 PM on Sunday in their regular season finales.
