(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University won their fourteenth straight contest on Sunday as they upended Northland College 11-2. Their eleven goals was a season-high and with the victory the Sabres (19-6 overall, 18-2 MCHA) set a new school record for victories in a season.

The Sabres will now take a week off as they have earned a bye in the first round of the MCHA Tournament after winning the MCHA North.

Marian outshot the Lumberjacks 51-19 in the contest and erupted for six goals in the second period. The Lumberjacks got on the board first at the 9:50 mark in the first. The Sabres answered nicely though, as they scored twice in the period.

In the second, the Sabres put away any doubts with their six tallies. Marian added three more scores in the third for good measure.

Ten players scored goals for the Sabres with Justin Cormier (Calgary, AB) being the only Sabre to tally multiple goals. Chris Thompson (Woodbury, MN), Brendan Roberts (Calgary, AB), Brian Pierpont (Superior, WI), Zack Fray (Cambridge, ON), Todd Collins (Whitby, ON), Nick Cinquegrani (Rolling Meadows, IL), Jason Ford (Milford, MI), Nathan Brummitt (Calgary, AB), and Adam Freeman (Wauwatosa, WI) all recorded goals in the contest.

Brummitt and Freeman both tallied three assists.

Cullen Caldwell (Calgary, AB) stopped 17 shots to pick up his second victory of the weekend.
