(Fond du Lac, WI) - Aurora University swept Marian University on Friday night at Smith Fields. The Spartans won game one 2-1 and then won game two 11-0. The Sabres are now 16-15 overall and 8-10 in the NAC. Aurora moved to 25-6 and 15-1 in the NAC.

Marian took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first in game one as Ashley Engler (Waterford, WI) hit a RBI-double. The Spartans tied it in the top of the second and scored the game-winning run in the third as they hit a two-out home run.

The Sabres had a great chance to score in the fourth, but stranded the bases loaded with only one out.

The Sabres out-hit Aurora 8-7, but couldn't break through against Aurora pitcher Anna Snyder. She struck out ten Sabre hitters.

Emily Wiesman (Sheboygan, WI) and Engler led the offense with a pair of hits.

Cherise Waltz (South Byron, WI) was solid, as she gave scattered seven hits and struck out three.

In game two, the Spartans took control of the game early, as they scored seven times in the first inning. They out-hit Marian 11-4 in the contest.

Snyder picked up the victory in game two as well.
