(Fond du Lac, WI) - Tim Holtz (Oshkosh, WI) was recently named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Baseball team. Holtz was named as a Third Team selection for his work both on the field and in the classroom. 

Holtz, a junior outfielder/pitcher, is leading the Sabres in most offensive categories this season. He leads the team in batting average (.426), hits (58), runs (47), home runs (4), total bases (90), stolen bases (6), and hit-by-pitches (17). He ranks second on the team in doubles with 14 and triples with 3. 

Holtz is making a name for himself in the Northern Athletics Conference as well. He ranks in the top ten in numerous statistical categories including batting average (6th), slugging percentage (5th), on-base percentage (4th), runs scored (8th), hits (6th), doubles (8th), total bases (7th), and hit-by-pitches (1st).

In the classroom, the Administration of Justice major sports a 3.30 grade-point-average. 

Marian will close out their season tomorrow, May 8, with a pair of home games against Concordia University-Wisconsin. First pitch is set for 12:00 PM at Herr-Baker Field.

Anthony Porcaro
Baseball
Porcaro led the Sabres with a .500 average (8-for-16) this week. He sported an on-base percentage of .619 and scored a team-high six runs. He also added a pair of RBI.
Amy Malcore
Softball
Malcore finished her career with an impressive Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. She was 5-for-11 (.455) at the plate with a double and a home run. She scored a team-high four times and slugged .818.
