Marian drops a pair at UW-Oshkosh Tourney

(Oshkosh, WI) - Marian University went 0-2 this weekend at the UW-Oshkosh Tournament. The Sabres fell 3-0 to Carthage College on Saturday and then fell 2-0 to Olivet College on Sunday. 

On Saturday, the Sabres were out-shot 18-6 in the loss to Carthage. The Red Men scored once in the first period and twice in the second to earn the victory.

Freshman Tim Wszalek (Ripon, WI) recorded five saves in the contest.

On Sunday, the Sabres gave up a goal in the 10th minute and 82nd minute in the 2-0 defeat. 

Olivet shut down the Sabre attack, holding them to just six shots. 

Nathan Thiery (Hartford, WI) made five saves in the game. 

The Sabres are back in action again on Friday, as they will host Northland College.
