(Beloit, WI) - Marian University moved to 1-1 on the year with a 3-0 victory over Beloit College on Saturday afternoon. First-year head coach, Jason Murphy, picked up his first career victory in the contest. 

Marian scored all three of their goals in the first half, including two in the first 7:06 of the game. Kim Kriese (Stevens Point, WI) got Marian on the board at the 5:06 mark off an assist from Jade Koeune (Winneconne, WI). Just two minutes later, Taylor Hozeska (Hartford, WI) scored off another assist from Koeune. Later in the period, Koeune scored her first career goal off an assist from Kriese. 

Marian goalkeeper, Tiffany Erdman (Wausau, WI), stopped four shots in her 54:00 minutes. Jordan Dykstra (Cedar Grove, WI) stopped three shots in her 36:00 minutes. 

Beloit out-shot Marian 13-11 in the contest. 

The Sabres are back in action on Tuesday, as they will travel to UW-Platteville. Action is set to begin at 7:00 PM.
