WAUKESHA, Wis. - For the second time this season, sophomore Zachariah Sandoval of Marian University baseball has been named the NACC Pitcher of the Week.
Sandoval (Santee, Calif.) tossed a complete game against Edgewood College to earn the Sabres a spot in the NACC Tournament. The sophomore tossed 9.0 innings only allowing six hits to earn his fourth complete game of the season. The right-hander only allowed one earned run and struck out seven Eagles in the victory. Sandoval closed out the regular season tossing 59.0 innings with a 1.83 earned run average striking out 45 batters for a 6.86 strikeouts per nine innings average. In conference play, he tossed 49.0 innings with a 1.10 earned run average only allowing six earned runs.

Marian opens the NACC Tournament as the No. 2 seed at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 10 from Kapco Park.
