MEQUON, Wis. - Marian University men's basketball (4-9, 2-6 NACC) dropped a NACC road tilt to Concordia Wisconsin by an 81-61 final.
The Sabres started off slow trailing 31-16 late in the first half but were able to use a late 8-4 run to cut their deficit down to 11 heading into halftime. Marian was able to use the momentum from the late first half push cutting the lead to seven after scoring the first four points of the second half.
Marian kept the deficit at single digits before Concordia Wisconsin scored 13 unanswered in the middle of the half to pull away. The Sabres would rattle off a 12-4 shortly after but were unable to rally falling to the Falcons.
Senior Tyrese Pinson and sophomore Tavaris McCullough each finished in double-figures with 10 points with McCullough also grabbing a team-high six rebounds. Pinson closed out his line with five assists and a pair of steals.
Marian remains on the road to take on Illinois Tech Wednesday, January 9 at 7 p.m. in NACC action.
