NAC Championship First Round Play Suspended Due to Rain

HAVEN, Wis. (SabreAthletics.com) – First round play at the 2012 Northern Athletics Conference Men's Golf Championship at Whistling Straits – Irish Course has been suspended due inclement weather. A round one restart is scheduled for tomorrow with the same pairing slated to tee off at 9 a.m.

Marian enters the championship with the lowest stroke average and lowest round score among the 10-team league this season. Through eight rounds this year, the Sabres have averaged 316.8 strokes per round, 10.2 strokes better than Aurora.

The Sabres hold the top-four lowest scores for a single round with their 302 at the first round of the Marian University Invitational back on Sept. 9, topping the charts.

The five players competing for Marian are seniors Joe Bertram and Cory Ashbeck, sophomore Max Richardson, and freshmen Kyle Bruce and Chris Janisse.
