SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - Marian University men's golf shot a 314, an improvement of eight strokes from round one, at the second round of the NACC Championship and will head to the spring season in third.
Aurora maintained their team lead, while the individual leader also remained the same with Sam Schlosser of CUW sitting at 147.
Freshman Jake Sherwood shot the lowest round of any student-athlete and set a single round NACC Championship record with a 69. The round moved him up to second place overall and only two shots behind Schlosser for the top spot. Freshman Christian Taylor remains in the top 10 at 13-over par, while fellow freshman Maxwell Dye is just one shot behind him at 14-over par. Sophomore Aaron Rick shot a 93 in his second round and freshman Chris Stephens shot an 86 in his first round of action at the NACC Championship.
Marian concludes the NACC Championship April 22-23 from Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora, Ill.
