Men's Hockey Picked Fourth in Preseason Poll

WAUKESHA, Wis. ( – The Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association announced the 2012-13 Preseason Coaches' Poll and reigning North Division Champion Marian University was picked to finish fourth in the eight-team conference, as released by the league office. Adrian College was selected as the preseason favorite for the fifth straight season.

Adrian garnered 49 of 50 possible points, including seven first-place votes, and was picked ahead of MSOE, which totaled 42 points and one first-place vote defeated the Bulldogs in the MCHA Harris Cup Final last season.

Lawrence was picked third with 34 points, followed by Marian (28), Concordia Wisconsin (23), Lake Forest (22), Finlandia (20) and Northland (8).

The MCHA enters its 15th season this fall, getting regular season play underway October 20. That evening, Marian University will play host to the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Finlandia University will take on Elliot Lake in an exhibition contest.
