Marian men's soccer adds Miller to coaching staff

FOND DU LAC - Head men's' soccer coach Craig Peltonen has announced the addition of Keegan Miller to the coaching staff to give the Sabre men's soccer program three USSF "A" licensed coaches on staff.

"Keegan is an experienced coach on the field," commented Peltonen.  "He has a lot of confidence to take things on, help players get better, and understanding of what's needed on the field to be successful. He brings stability, a great work ethic, resourcefulness, and communicates extremely well. He has some familiarity with some states that we'd like to recruit from, which will help us tremendously."

Miller comes to Marian after a long history in club soccer in the states of Washington and Colorado. Most recently, he was the director of coaching for Kitsap Alliance FC in Silverdale, Wash. where he oversaw all aspects of the youth club. Prior to that, he was an age group director for the Real Colorado Edge SC. Miller is a knowledgeable and experienced soccer coach and holds a USSF "A" license.

"I'm excited to start my college coaching career after working a number of years on the club side of soccer," commented Miller.  "I'm looking forward to working with the players, being part of the soccer program, and the Marian University community as a whole".

Miller is also an accomplished soccer player on the field, highlighted by playing on the Denver Kickers USASA U23 team that won back-to-back national championships in 2003 and 2004. He played college soccer at Division II and Division III, graduating from Metro State in Denver, Colo. with a bachelor's degree in history.

Keegan will reside in Fond du Lac with his wife Maggie, who will be a librarian in the Oshkosh School District, his 9-year-old daughter Reece, and his 6-year-old son Finnegan.
