Sabres drop a pair of NACC match-ups

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Marian University tennis team had dual matches against Concordia Wisconsin and Lakeland on Saturday, April 18. The Sabres were upset 9-0 by the Falcons and 8-1 by the Muskies.

It was a slow start for the Sabres against the Falcons.

Jacob Ryd led the team with five points scored in his second set of singles play.

The Sabres were able to carry some momentum over to their matchup against the Muskies.

5-foot-10 freshman, Carson Johnstone came away victorious over Lakeland's ShoSean Fujino, taking the first set 7-5 and second set 6-0, for the Sabres only winning match of the day.

The Sabres return to action on Sunday, April 19 as they face Ripon College at 1 p.m.
