Sabres drop NACC openers on the road

NEW BERLIN/MILWAUKEE - Marian University men's tennis (2-5, 0-2 NACC) fell to Wisconsin Lutheran 7-2 before being bested by MSOE 9-0.

In the opener against Wisconsin Lutheran, the Sabres would drop all three doubles matches with the duo of Ryan Biffert and Zachary Stanczyk narrowly dropping an 8-6 match at No. 3 doubles.

In singles action, Spencer Braswell was able to win in a tie break at No. 3 singles and Brandon Ruis won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.  Biffert and Stanczyk would drop their matches in tie breaks with Stanczyk falling 10-8 in the final set.

After a quick bus trip, Marian then took on MSOE where the Raiders were able to cruise to all nine victories.

Marian plays their first home matches of the year when they host Aurora and Edgewood Friday, April 14.
