FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University men's tennis (3-8, 1-5 NACC) was swept by Concordia Wisconsin 9-0 in the opener of the day before sweeping Lakeland 9-0 for their first NACC win.
The Sabres were able to build momentum early taking all three doubles matches against Lakeland in the Sabres' second match of the day. Ryan Biffert and Coy Paulson took No. 3 doubles 8-1, while Joey Dittman and Danny Roe at No. 1 and Patrick Schwoerer and Spencer Brasswell at No. 2 each took their doubles match 8-2.
Dittman then took No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-3 in what proved to be the tightest singles match. Schwoerer at No. 2, Braswell at No. 4 and Brandon Ruis at No. 5 each swept their match winning 6-0, 6-0. Roe also won convincingly at No. 3 with a 6-1, 6-1 victory, while Biffert closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
The Falcons were able to handle the Sabres easily in the opening match of the day sweeping all nine spots.
Marian closes out the season next weekend at Dominican and Concordia Chicago Saturday, April 29.
