No. 14 MSOE offense too much for Sabres

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University men's volleyball (8-14, 5-10 MCVL) couldn't slow down the offense of No. 14 MSOE falling to the Raiders by set scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 34-32.

The Raiders would hit .407 in the first set and .556 in the second set as they were able to cruise to the 2-0 set lead.  MSOE also held the Sabres to a negative hitting percentage in both sets but the Sabres would bounce back in the third.

MU finished the set with a .133 hitting percentage and were able to fight off eight MSOE match-point opportunities.  Sophomores Jon Smallpage and Jon Sattersten each had five kills in the set, while fellow sophomore Cullen Liberski recorded eight digs.

Smallpage and Sattersten finished the match with a team-high seven kills and Liberski had a match-high 16 digs to lead the Marian back row.  Sophomore Joey Dittman assisted on 23 of the 27 Marian kills.

Marian is next in action when they travel to Benedictine Friday, March 31 for a 7 p.m. first serve in MCVL action.
