MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's basketball (3-17, 2-13 NACC) fell to Wisconsin Lutheran on the road to close out the season series with the Warriors.
Wisconsin Lutheran was able to control the pace in the opening half as they were able to create quality opportunities in the paint and managed play down low.
In the second half, the Sabres would not go away quietly chipping away at the WLC lead with their best quarter of the evening. The Sabres would outscore WLC 18-13 in the third quarter led by sophomore Molly Magnus who tallied eight points from a bucket and a pair of three-pointers.
Senior Nicole Paulus and Magnus each narrowly missed out on double-doubles in the game. Paulus continued her consistent play with a team-high 21 points and eight rebounds, while Magnus grabbed eight boards to go with 10 points, her second double-digit performance of the season.
