Sabre women's golf competes at UW-Whitewater Invite

MADISON, Wis. - Marian University women's golf shot a team score of 465 in the first round and recorded a second round score of 498 at the UW-Whitewater Invite.

Host Wisconsin-Whitewater won the invite with a two-day total of 640 and were led by Ashley Hofmeister who won the individual title with a 151.

Junior Tayler Wise led the way for the Sabres with a 94 and 97, respectively to finish in a tie for 56th.  Next in for the Sabres was senior Taylor Lockhart who finished in a tie for 76th shooting a 101 and 109.  Junior Allison Grosenick shot a pair of similar scores with a 116 and 117, while senior Kerianna Disterhaft closed out the scoring with a 154 and 175.

Marian opens the NACC Championship Friday, Sept. 29 from Meadowbrook Country Club in Mount Pleasant, Wis.
