FOND DU LAC, Wis. (SabreAthletics.com) – The 2012 All-Northern Athletics Conference women's soccer awards were released today, Oct. 29, and Marian University was recognized by six individuals, led by Laura Maly, who was an All-NAC First Team selection, the league office announced.

Maly, the Sabres' lone first-teamer, was an All-NAC honorable mention and All-Freshman team choice a year ago. The sophomore forward ranked 16th in the league with 24 points after scoring nine goals and adding six assists during the 2012 campaign. She accounted for 19 points alone during conference play, where they Sabres finished 9-3, good for fourth place overall.

Three Marian players garnered Second Team All-NAC accolades as Caitlyn Rosenberger (GK), Morgan Ansems (M) and Leisa Conn (F) were recognized. This marks the second straight season that the sophomore Rosenberger has earned All-NAC status after being a first team selection a year ago. For Ansems and Conn, it is each they first such honor.

Jaime Anderson (D) and Alyson Fisher (M) each earned All-Freshman team accolades, representing two of the 14-member group.

Edgewood's Elaine Gerry was voted NAC Offensive Player of the Year, while Aurora's Jenee Lange earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Brittany Klumpp of Concordia Wisconsin was named Freshman of the Year and first-year head coach of regular season champion Aurora, Troy Edwards, earned Coach of the Year accolades.
