FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Marian University women's soccer (3-3-0, 0-0-0 NACC) fell to UW-Oshkosh 4-0 in their final home non-conference game.
The Titans struck for three goals in the first half as they outshot the Sabres 9-2 to open the game. UW-Oshkosh would once again outshoot the Sabres 9-2 in the second half but junior Alyssa Jones would make five saves on the six shots that were on goal. The Sabres would get a chance in the 78th minute when freshman Shannon Coughlin took a breakaway from the center of the field but her shot hit the near post and bounced back keeping MU scoreless.
Four different Sabres sent a shot to the net, but none made it on frame. Junior Danielle Deltgen (3-2-0) took the loss in goal for MU making two saves.
Marian opens NACC play with a 4 p.m. kick off at Concordia Wis. Wednesday, Sept. 20.
