Women's Tennis falls to MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (SabreAthletics.com) - Marian's Women's Tennis continued their 2013 season on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Milwaukee, to take on MSOE. The Sabres entered with a 2-5 record in the NACC, and were looking to add one more win to that total with a victory.

Things started well for Marian, as the duo of Brynn Hartzell and Ann Goyke combined to claim victory at #1 Doubles, 8-3. Melissa Spannbauer and Annie Jandacek would attempt to keep the momentum going at #2 Doubles, but they would fall 8-0.

In Singles, Marian claimed wins at #1 and #2 Singles thanks to Goyke and Hartzell, (6-3, 6-0) and (6-0, 6-1). That would be all they could manage, however, as MSOE would be victorious at #3 and #4 Singles.

Marian will return to Milwaukee this Saturday to face Alverno, with that match starting at 10 a.m. The squad will return home next Tuesday to host Concordia Wisconsin.
