STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Marian University women's tennis (7-6, 4-3 NACC) took No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles in a 7-2 road loss to UW-Stevens Point.
The duo of juniors Meg Hartzell and Kristin Houle cruised to an 8-2 win in the only doubles win for Marian, while freshman Emma Lewandowski won the opening set at No. 4 doubles and took the tiebreaker 10-3. Hartzell nearly completed a sweep of the day at No. 1 singles but fell 10-9 in a tiebreak.
Marian returns to NACC action when they travel to Concordia Chicago Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m.
Marian University was founded in 1936 by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, Wis. The institution has one of the lowest student-faculty ratios in the state and strives to live its core values as a community committed to learning, dedicated to service and social justice and joined together by spiritual traditions. Marian offers undergraduate, adult, masters and doctoral degree programs at its main campus and in facilities throughout Wisconsin.
