MILWAUKEE - For a second consecutive week, sophomore Garrett Martin of Marian University baseball has been named the NACC pitcher of the week, as voted on by the sports information directors of the conference.

Martin (Gypsum, Colo.) earns the second straight honor after tossing a shutout against Dominican.  He went 8.0 innings in the complete game effort only allowing two hits with 14 punch outs.  At the time, he extended his scoreless innings streak to 14.0 with 25 punch outs during that stretch, but yesterday, he posted another 8.0 innings of scoreless baseball with another 12 strikeouts to push his streak to 22.0 and counting.  Martin now has 57 strikeouts on the season and is averaging 14.38 strikeouts per nine innings.
