Sabre men's golf finishes ninth at MSOE Invite

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - Marian University men's golf shot a 312 and a 317 to finish in ninth at the MSOE Invite with a score of 629.

Jake Sherwood paced Marian with a 76 and 78 to lead the Sabres and finish in a tie for 26th.  Caleb Martin was next in for Marian just three shots behind Sherwood with a 78 and 79 for a tie for 31st.

AJ Rambaud shot an 80 in the opening round followed by an 83 to come in next for Marian.  Maxwell Dye saw a 10-stroke improvement between rounds with a 77 in his second round, while Tyler Demuse shot a 78 in his opening round followed by an 87 to round out the MU lineup.

A NACC opponent in Edgewood won the event after a team score of 584, while a pair of UW-Eau Claire teammates in Nick Bauer and Alex Rogan each shot one-under par for the event to tie for the individual title.

Marian closes out the fall portion of their season at the NACC Championship Oct. 7-8 from Whistling Straits in Sheboygan, Wis.
