Sabre men's golf opens second half of NACC championship

AURORA, Ill. - Marian University men's golf shot a third-round score of 324 putting the Sabres in sixth place heading into the final round of the NACC championship.

Tyler Demeuse put together his best round of the championship, leading Marian with a 75.  Maxwell Dye was next in for the Sabres with an 81, while Caleb Martin was just one stroke off his pace with an 82.  Jake Sherwood rounded out the scoring for the Sabres with an 86 and Aaron Rick closed out the lineup with an 87 in his first round of the championship.

Dye currently leads the Sabres after three rounds with a 240, 24-over par, and sits in 15th overall.  He sits just four shots off the pace of an All-NACC spot.

Aurora was the only team to shoot under 300 on the day with a 290 and holds a six-stroke lead after three rounds.  Josh Hentrich of Edgewood holds a two-stroke lead at the top of the individual leaderboard.

Marian closes out the NACC championship tomorrow, Monday, April 29, from Stonebridge Country Club.
