Marian men's golf finishes 11th at competive Midwest Region Classic

GALENA, Ill. - Marian University men's golf shot a 322 and 313 to finish tied for 11th out of 36 teams at the Midwest Region Classic.

Jake Sherwood shot 77 in each round to lead the Sabres and finish in a tie for 30th.  Aaron Rick was next in for the Sabres finishing in 60th after carding a 79 and 80.  Trent Thomas improved by six strokes between rounds with an 83 and 77, while AJ Rambaud shot an 83 and 82.  Tyler Demeuse rebounded after a tough first round to shoot a 79 in the second round and close out the Marian lineup.

Aurora earned the team title after finishing at 591, while Dawson Hinz from Edgewood earned the individual title after a two-round total of 144.

Marian travels to the WLC Fall Invite Sept. 21-22 from Washington County Golf Course.
