BELOIT, Wis. - In an extremely even match-up, Marian University men's soccer (2-2-1, 0-0-0 NACC) finished in a scoreless tie with Beloit after two overtimes.

Each team had 17 shots, but neither could find the back of the net in the non-conference match-up.   The Buccaneers did manage to send more shots on goal by an 11-6 margin, but senior Ian Chacon (2-1-1) stopped all of them including one shot in the first overtime.

The Sabres controlled the game from the second half on outshooting Beloit 13-10 between the second half and both overtimes.  Marian was also able to force more pressure with a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Freshman Juan Herrera led the offense with five shots, while senior Alexis Estela added four shots.

Marian will next travel to Concordia Wisconsin Wednesday, Sept. 19 for a 4 p.m. kickoff in their NACC opener.
