WAUKESHA, Wis. - Marian University women's hockey received 17 points to finish eighth in the NCHA preseason poll, as voted on by the head coaches of the league.
Adrian was picked to repeat as the conference champion for a sixth-consecutive season after finishing third in the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs finished ranked third in the nation as a result and received 67 points along with nine of the 11 first-place votes. St. Scholastica was next in the poll receiving a total of 58 points and the final two first-place votes. The Saints had a breakout season that saw them receive votes in the national poll at the end of the season.
Not far behind were Lake Forest and Concordia Wisconsin who reached 50 and 41 points, respectively. Trine and St. Norbert finished closely in the poll as well with 34 and 30 points, respectively. Aurora finished just four points ahead of the Sabres, while Finlandia rounded out the poll with just 10 points.
