Sabres Run the Gene Davis Invitational

APPLETON, Wis. – The Marian University cross country team travelled to Appleton for the Gene Davis Invitational today.

Alyssa Zuhlke led the women's team, finishing 36th overall with a time of 26:09.13. Sydney Lukes finished not far behind, crossing the finish line at 27:55.34.

On the men's side, Isaac Kinjerski's time of 31:06.77 led the Blue and White. Justin Cooke (34:07.95), Cole McCaig (34:20.71), and Luke Schaeffer (35:40.25) finished within seconds of each other to round out the Sabres' day.

The Wisconsin Track Club won the men's team event, while Lawrence's Josh Janusiak finished first individually. St. Norbert's women's team had the eleven best times of the race, including Erin Artz's first place time of 21:48.32.

The Sabres now look forward to next Saturday, October 15, when they will compete in the Wisconsin Private College Championships at UW-Parkside.
